Shears make topiary possible and in this article I want to share with you some of my new best shears that I purchased recently and they’re extremely good for topiary. I’ve actually used them for an all-round application but they seem to work very well for topiary too. It’s really good because it means that I can get the best of both the artistic and practical aspects of shears. In this post with you I am going to look at my Davaon Pro Geared Garden Hedge Shears and some of the key benefits such as the gears aspect to them which reduces the effort required when using, extremely sharp and hard blades, they’re extremely lightweight too, and it’s quite clear that they built to last and that I’m going to get many many years of high-quality service out of Davaon Pro Geared Garden Hedge Shears so I’m going to go through with you all of those points in detail and highlight some of the positives and any flaws of these brilliant shears with you.
Artistic gardens are happy gardens
One of the main attractions to topiary work for me is the fact that is really improves the overall look of my garden and it makes you feel good. When you’re doing great work in the garden and it really attracts people; they make positive comments about your work, you can really get a boost from that and more than anything you can really you can enjoy all of the fruits of your labour so to speak.
So I actually really like to do a bit of topiary work because it gives me the kind of confidence boost that I need to get through my days. It also keeps my days full of interesting things and I always learn new techniques and gather my thoughts and it gives me an opportunity really just to relax and enjoy doing something that I like. If I can recommend one thing to anyone it would be that you have a go at topiary in the garden and obviously need to make sure you got the shears to accompany the efforts because otherwise you’ll be kind of stuck
Getting good shears isn’t easy, that’s why I go to Garden Tool Box for mine: I bought the Davaon Pro Geared Garden Hedge Shears
Pretty obviously the only place I go for my topiary shears is Garden Tool Box because they offer amazing quality as well as highly regarded industry information and will always provide no-nonsense advice that doesn’t necessarily benefit their own pockets. It’s quite refreshing because normally companies are always interested in trying to sell you as much as they can, but these guys, it seems that they are really into gardening and want you to have the best possible products.
That means for this year’s hype or actually useful for both topiary and general applications such as hedges and bushes. This is absolutely ideal because I’m not the kind of person who really wants to keep an awful lot of tools in my garden so having just one tool that fits a lot of different purposes is very useful for me. It was a means I can save a bit of money and being a pensioner, I don’t really have all that much money spare so actually having the ability to combine tools for me as a real big plus. It means I can do all of these activities that I like without worrying about all of the money that I spend in the process. So So with that said my absolute favourite shears are the Davaon Pro Geared Garden Hedge Shears. These garden shears are providing me with the most enjoyment at the moment because I can use them for the artistic aspect of my gardening as well as just do general work that I get done. I like to trim my hedges and bushes so it’s really useful that I can do that as well as uses for topiary. What I’ve noticed from these garden shears is the fact that they really hold their edge well so it means I don’t have to sharpen them, in fact, in the six months I’ve had them, I’ve barely had the sharpening tools out on them at all. They’ve just got extremely good steel and they hold a very good edge so overall I’m very pleased with them and hence the reason I’m writing this review about them for you. I really hope that you can get some benefit from this too.
Having good shears makes it easier to be artistic
One of the biggest things I’ve noticed about having these high quality garden shears is that it’s extremely easy for me to make high quality topiary and I’m really pleased about that because it means that I’m doing great work really quickly and it’s saving me a lot of effort in the process.
There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing your work looking good and certainly has a lot to do with the fact you’ve got the right tools in your hand. They say a bad workman blames his tools, but in this situation I must say though having these brilliant garden shears has saved me a lot of effort and it’s also meant that I paid a lot more attention to detail. The fact that they’re so lightweight and they’ve been easy to use means that I’m not often aching in the arm and therefore I’m concentrating on making a beautiful job of my topiary.
Don’t waste money on cheap garden shears
I would like to leave you with one final thought regarding any garden artwork; you really can’t buy a cheap shears because it just doesn’t work out. I’ve actually fallen foul of this myself and bought cheap garden shears and the bottom line is this, I really didn’t get any work done to the kind of satisfactory standard I expect of myself. The main reason is I keep getting caught on branches and bushes and don’t get a clean-cut. And if you don’t get a clean-cut then there’s absolutely no way they are going to get hope your artistic kind of work done in your garden so avoid cheap garden shears with low quality blades like the plague!
