SAW exists to promote the visual arts and create opportunities for visual artists and makers in Somerset by advocacy, promotion and development.
SAW manages a range of opportunities for Visual Artists in a network within Somerset. This includes Somerset Art Week which began in 1994 as a biannual event but is now being established as an annual event – in 2008 there will be an Open Studio Event and in 2009 there will be special events and exhibitions are held throughout the county and thereafter these events will alternate each year.
